Page 15 - Sunday 18th June - Breakfast and Indianapolis/Arnage

We were back at Le Grand LucĂ© by just after 10 am and I took the chance to have a wash and a change of clothes before heading back down for some breakfast.  The rest of the guys were up, having (obviously) had a good sleep during which they missed the whole of the racing during the night.

After the team photo with Madame (as usual, taken by me) it was time to head back to the circuit.  We left the hotel at 11.15 to head out to Arnage and Indianapolis.  It took us about half an hour to get to Arnage and, as was the case last year, the car park was full and we were directed to the overflow car park down the road, which meant a fair bit further to walk for me and my tired, blistered feet!  We finally got into the enclosure at midday.

By the time I'd had my fill of shooting 'portrait' driver shots down at the far point of Indianapolis, the rest of the guys had disappeared and I found them (as I might have expected) having lunch down below the run to Arnage.  I indulged in some frites as it wasn't all that long since I had my late breakfast back at the hotel.  It was then time for some unposed 'mugshots'...  By this time Chris had done l'addition.

Having had our lunch we now had to choose what to do for the rest of the race.  Chris and his cohort, having elected to 'do their own thing' for most of the weekend already, elected to watch the end of the race from Indianapolis, while the rest of us decided to go back to the main circuit for the last few hours.
