Just Too Strange for Words
Well, that's it then.
Le Mans 2020 has been and gone. Not with a bang but a whimper - from me, anyway.... I watched the race (all of it) and as a race, I enjoyed it. I'm tired now as I always am after a Le Mans race but I slept well last night. I will be starting the most unusual Le Mans story of them all very shortly, so I won't write much here for now. Save to say that I sincerely hope the 'TV' Le Mans experience doesn't have to be repeated next year. It wasn't the same (the understatement of the year!) and although I always feel rather 'flat' once it's all over, the feeling today is accentuated by not having had the wonderful experiences I always have at the event to look back on. I did however have the 'saving grace' of a car to follow in the race and congratulations to Toby and the Nielsen team for getting to the flag in their first Le Mans outing.
So who knows what 2021 will bring? As yet, no-one. Fingers and toes must necessarily remain tightly crossed.
